About the Indiana Prosperity Project

The Indiana Prosperity Project is a nonpartisan, nonprofit collaborative effort of the business
community to provide helpful and accurate information for our employees about business
issues, candidates and elections. Our goal is to shape a better, more prosperous Indiana
through increased voter registration and election participation among the Hoosier workforce.

The Indiana Manufacturers Association and the Indiana Chamber of Commerce are both
cosponsors of the Indiana Prosperity Project. It is our hope that this site becomes your
number one resource for political information and news. Be sure to check back often to
learn about legislative issues that affect

your prosperity, to view your elected officials' voting
records and to get the latest news about proposed policies that have an effect on your job!

About these pages

America works best when Americans vote. But the percentage of eligible voters who cast their ballots continues to decline election after election. According to a study by Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism, 23 million Americans contacted an elected official over a two year period, but didn't bother to go vote! We think something needs to be done.

These pages are designed to give you the information and tools you need to make it to the polls and cast an informed vote. We've included voter registration and absentee ballot information and forms for every state in the union, and the District of Columbia. We've included tools to locate and contact your elected officials. And, we'll provide candidate guides and voting records as candidates file for office and votes on issues that matter.

Throughout these page we present information to assist you in casting your vote and becoming more involved in the electoral process. But we don't - and won't - tell you how to vote. That decision is up to you.
